Olathe has a great sky show tonight as a deep partial lunar eclipse moves across the full moon. The partial phase began around 9:33 p.m., with the eclipse reaching its maximum at about 11:12 p.m., when roughly 93% of the moon will be inside Earth’s dark shadow — enough to give much of it a dramatic reddish or copper color. The partial eclipse continues until about 12:51 a.m. Friday. No special glasses are needed; just step outside and look toward the southeastern sky.
